Well, folks, it's with a heavy heart that I announce that I am closing up shop for the time being. The Jostess Bakery will no longer be taking orders for any more projects until further notice. There is just too much going on between trying to move and family stuff that the timing just isn't right. And plus, who am i kidding, i'm not that good anyway. Thanks to everyone for your support these past couple of months!

Laissez les bon temps rouler!!! Happy Mardi Gras everyone!!! We love Mardi Gras here at the Jostess Bakery and one of our favorite treats to celebrate with is King Cake! Have you ever had it?

A king cake (sometimes rendered as kingcake, kings' cake, king's cake, or three kings cake) is a type of cake associated in a number of countries with the festival of Epiphany at the end of the Christmas season, and in other places with the pre-Lenten celebrations of Mardi Gras / Carnival.

I'm so excited (and ridiculously nervous) to bring The Jostess Bakery to Boskone this evening!! If you're into sci-fi/horror/fantasy literature, stop on by to hear some great talks, make some new friends and generally have an awesome time. This is my first "professional" gig and I cannot thank the wonderful people at Boskone enough for giving me this opportunity! Hope to see you there!!
