Chocolate Cherry Sourdough is BACK for the month of September! Find it in the bakery Thursdays + Saturdays, or special order a loaf for Thursday or Saturday pickup by emailing us with at least 3 days’ notice.

We get asked all the time what kind of flour we use, so here’s the scoop! 🌾

Good bread starts with good ingredients, and flour is obviously a pretty important one. 😉

We use flour from three different mills/brands:

Barton Springs Mill — located near Austin, Texas. They supply all of our whole grain flours, and the flour we source from them is organic. Every one of our sourdough breads contains some of this one! 🌾

Cairnspring Mills — a small mill in Washington’s Skagit Valley, stone-milling grain grown in the Pacific Northwest.

King Arthur Baking Company Sir Galahad — King Arthur’s professional artisan flour, made from American-grown wheat and never bleached or bromated.

— Say hello to our new Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookie — a hearty oatmeal cookie with buttery butterscotch morsels in every bite. 🤤

— To our Coppell friends: after a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to step away from Coppell Farmers Market. This was not a decision we made lightly, and we’re truly sorry to say goodbye to our Saturdays with y’all. Thank you for all the love + support. 💛 We hope you’ll come see us in McKinney sometime!

📍 And NO St. Michael’s Farmers Market this Saturday! We’re taking the weekend off from markets, so come see us at the bakery instead.

We’ll have a very limited number of discounted loaves from Tuesday’s bake, plus fresh baguettes, jambons, croissant loaves, pizza + all your favorite pastries 🤍 And iced drinks because 🥵🥵

Once your eyes have been opened and your taste buds awakened by a Kouign Amann… there’s really no going back. 😍

Flaky, buttery layers like a croissant. A deeply caramelized sugar crust on the bottom that one of our favorite Kouign-obsessed customers described as almost like the top of a crème brûlée — and we haven’t stopped thinking about that description since. 😂

Then you get to the inside: gooey, sugary, buttery swirls tucked into all those layers.

You pull it apart. Flakes go everywhere. Your fingers get sticky. It is an absolute mess in the very best possible way.

There may genuinely be no better pastry on earth.

And apparently, they say you can judge a bakery by its Kouign Amann…

So. Do we pass? 😏
