Bresnan Bread started lonnnng before there was a bakery in Downtown McKinney…
It started with Matt baking bread obsessively at home and Jenna realizing pretty quickly that this probably wasn’t going to stay a small hobby for long 😅😅
What began as early mornings at Farmers Markets and baking through the night at home - slowly grew into something much bigger. Week after week, more people started showing up for the sourdough, morning buns, cookies, pastries, following along online, and connecting to what Matt and Jenna were creating!!
If you know them personally, you know the bakery is basically an extension of who they are. Truly!!
Matt is deeply passionate about the craft itself. The long fermentations. The technique. The obsession over ingredients and process and constantly figuring out how to make something EVEN better than it was yesterday. Great attention is paid to every step, from sourcing ingredients to production and baking, and that level of care is reflected in everything that comes out of the kitchen!!
Jenna is the heart behind the community side of the bakery. She has spent decades in hospitality and has a natural way of making people feel welcomed, known, and taken care of. For her, relationships have always been built around gooood food and tight community.
Together, they built the bakery around the idea that food should feel personal.
Not mass produced.
Not overly polished.
Not trying to chase trends.
Just thoughtful food made by people who care deeply about what they’re putting into the world ❤️ So grateful for everyone that has been (and will be!) part of this story.
