Good morning, friends. Happy Saturday!
Just letting you all know that you’ll see some schedule changes this week.
My great grandfather, at 101 1/2 years old, met the Lord face to face this week. We are going to miss him so much, but I know he is happier than ever now in the arms of Jesus. My Great Granddaddy, Herb Pierce, was a very special man! His face would light up when he saw those he loved, and he loved his family so well. ❤️ He had a quick-witted and dry sense of humor that he passed down to his children and grand children and great grandchildren, etc. 😆 It was so easy to sit and talk with him for hours and hours about anything from his time in the war to baking to Alabama football. Many of you have told me before how special it was to still have my great granddaddy around and you were so right!! He was precious, and will be missed so much!
I don’t yet know when arrangements will be for Granddaddy, but I’ve gone ahead and closed my Thursday and Saturday bake days for this week just in case. Once I have more details, I might add a pick up and/or delivery day back for the week, but it will definitely just depend on timing. I also don’t know yet when/if I’ll be dropping off at SMM this week. I dropped off some goodies yesterday and I know there’s still a few fresh items in stock there if you’re out and about today and need something. ☺️
I will do a more detailed schedule update once all the details are lined up, but since my bake day info usually goes out on Sunday, I wanted to go ahead and let yall know to expect a few changes in my June schedule.
…and I might add some pound cake slices to my menu for the remainder of June in honor of granddaddy. He loved pound cake! We will see!!
