Even though we won't be at the Vinton County farmers market on the 13th, we will be there this coming Saturday, June 6th. While you're out shopping at all the great yard sales in Vinton County, come by and get some yummy treats to snack on! See you there!!

Come and see us on June 13th at the Raccoon Creek event posted (she has us listed as "Granny's" Oven). There will be several vendors there with lots of different things for you to look at and to purchase. I'm excited to see what all the vendors have! See you there!

Thank you everyone for coming out on this beautiful day! It was so nice to see everyone and to meet new people! I do have a couple of loaves of bread left over. One is an Italian herb artisan bread ($7) and I have one loaf of the chocolate swirl butter bread ($8), which is pictured below. I also have some cotton bread bags ($8...they keep your bread fresher longer on the counter) and a couple of table runners ($10 each) left, as well. Oh, and I have 2 bags of hamburger buns ($3 each bag). If you would like to make any of these yours, just text me. Also, if you haven't done so, pick up your Grammy's Oven rewards card next week so you can get started toward your free loaf of bread! It's such a beautiful day for outdoor shopping! Come on over to the Vinton County Farmer's Market and get some goodies! Grammy is there with artisan breads, muffins, cookies and dip, table runners, cotton bread bags, crocheted kitchen items, bread dip mix, cinnamon pull apart bread, chocolate swirl butter bread, hamburger buns and more! There are several other vendors set up with a variety of things to sell. Lots of garden plants and flowers, sourdough, cups, t-shirts, tinctures, and more! We will be here on this beautiful sunny Saturday until 1:00! See you there!

Two loaves of chocolate swirl butter bread getting ready to go in the oven in a little bit. This would be great for french toast or even just toast with a little cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on it! It will be available tomorrow at the Vinton County Farmers Market!

Last week, Grammy's Oven launched a rewards card program. Some of you may have already gotten your card and received your first hole punch. You're on your way! For every loaf of bread you buy, I will hole punch/initial your card. Once you purchase 10 loaves of bread, you can order a loaf of your choice, free of charge! If you haven't gotten your card yet be sure to pick one up next saturday!

I didn't make it to the farmers market today. My grandson graduated from high school last night and it was a late night, so I stayed home. I hope you all were able to get some goodies from the wonderful variety of vendors who set up for today. However, I am planning on being there next week with a few new things, so I hope to see you then! Watch the page to see a preview of what I will be bringing with me. Have a beautiful week!

Who likes creamer in your coffee? I had a little butter pecan syrup leftover and so I thought I would make some coffee creamer, as I was out. Leave those chemicals behind! This is the recipe I used:

1 can of sweetened condensed milk (if you make it yourself, it's better because you're using straight ingredients and no chemicals)

1 and 1/2 cups of milk (whole milk is better)

2 teaspoons vanilla.... Measure with your heart

2 oz of your favorite syrup (I used butter pecan today, but I really love the Maple syrup that I make),
**Or, use a bit of hazelnut spread after you pour your creamer and coffee in the cup, for a chocolatey treat!

Starting with your milk add ingredients to the jar of your choice. Use a whisk to mix all ingredients, as they sweetened condensed milk is very thick.

That's it. Coffee creamer that is delicious, without the chemicals!
