Big news from Keep Your Fork… 🍦🎉

THE ICE CREAM MACHINE IS OFFICIALLY UP AND RUNNING!

After what felt like the longest shipping wait ever, we finally have soft serve ready to go! ☀️😅

We’re starting simple while we continue learning and growing during our soft opening, but we are SO excited to finally add ice cream to the menu.

Right now we have:

Well… I suppose it’s time to make it official…

Keep Your Fork is OPEN! ❤️

We’ve actually been soft opening for the last few days and have been quietly getting our feet under us. We wanted to take some time to learn our rhythm before making a big announcement, and we’re so thankful for everyone who has already stopped in and supported us.

Right now we’re growing into this slowly and intentionally. We’re still learning, tweaking, and figuring out what works best. I haven’t been able to dive into big baking days quite yet because I’m spending a lot of time helping Evie get comfortable and confident up front (and she’s doing a great job 😊). Once we get everyone settled into their roles, we’ll start expanding more and more.

We’ve decided to open at 7:00 AM, and we’ll generally be open until around 6:00 PM, depending on customer traffic and community needs.

Also… North Dakota apparently decided to skip straight to the surface of the sun. With temperatures pushing around 90° this week, we know many of you are excited for ice cream. Our soft serve machine isn’t up and running just yet… we literally just got our mix tonight, but we’re hoping to have everything figured out and ready to go by the weekend!

We know many of you have been excited and waiting for this place to open, and we’re excited too. We’re just taking our time as we grow into the final vision of what Keep Your Fork will become. So if you stop in and things aren’t perfect yet, please give us a little grace while we learn and grow. Every day we’re adding something new and getting one step closer.

Well… we have officially entered our ✨soft serve era✨ 🍦

Our ice cream machine finally arrived and let me tell you… this thing is MASSIVE. 😂 We are so unbelievably excited to bring soft serve to Keep Your Fork because nothing says summer in a small town quite like ice cream.

We know many of you have been anxiously waiting for our opening date, and trust me… we are too. Unfortunately, a few shipping delays on equipment and supplies have pushed things back a little bit longer than we originally hoped. We’re so close we can taste it though.

Right now we’re finishing setup, stocking inventory, organizing, and making sure everything is ready so we can open our doors the RIGHT way instead of rushing through the finish line.

We truly cannot thank this community enough for the encouragement, excitement, support, and patience you’ve shown us through this entire crazy adventure. Watching this little dream turn into a real place has been surreal.

Now let’s all collectively hope this machine does NOT decide to give us permanent “McDonald’s ice cream machine” vibes. 😉🍦

Well… after months of renovating, learning, stressing, second guessing ourselves, filling carts with supplies, surviving inspections, and approximately 47 emotional support coffees… WE OFFICIALLY PASSED OUR HEALTH INSPECTION! ☕🥹

Keep Your Fork is now officially licensed through the First District Health Unit as a food establishment!

This little dream of ours has slowly turned into something real, and seeing that license with our name on it was a pretty emotional moment for our family.

We still have a few things to finish up before opening our doors:
• stocking inventory
• finishing up required classes/training
• filling the freezers with cookie dough, cinnamon rolls, and all the good things 😋

So while we don’t have an exact opening date quite yet, we are getting VERY close.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged us, checked in on us, shared our posts, offered advice, helped with projects, and believed in this crazy dream of ours. It means more than you know.

The best is yet to come…
