This is Barbara. ❤️
We are talking about what to keep in mind when buying from a small rancher.
1) We don’t mass produce; inventory does run out ~ in all honestly don’t you want fresh inventory~
2) Pasture based meats are seasonal.
3) Prices reflect the actual cost of raising an animal with clean feed, slowly with nature.
4) We are not always available; raising meat for our community is just one of our jobs.
5) We know that the food supply chain is bent we’re trying our best to shorten it while supplying our community with product.
6) We work with a local processor who has their own schedule restrictions
7) Now this one directly pertains to us…. we’re super busy. We don’t have time for pretty PR what you see is what you get.🤠🤠….NO AI

There’s lots of questions in the past day or two about where to buy local meat; in order to bypass the imported (from where?) meat.

So I did a little work for you to round up a few places to look.
One thing that we are very passionate about is buying local. The amount of money that stays in the local community is staggering right now it could be life-changing.
1) obviously us🤠
2) Idaho Preferred has a list of Idaho producers
3) pages
4) Google
5) Fruits and vegetables are in season! There are stands everywhere in the Treasure Valley.
6) Go to your local farmers market. Talk to the vendors there most of us sell in bulk.
7) If any of you are feeling extra generous, we just donated a quarter of a beef to The Big Grass Fire Benefit Indian Creek Steakhouse on August 27. You can stock up on Beef plus support other ranchers in the area.

Like always if you have questions, please reach out.
Good luck with your searching!

The Sagehens have moved in! They come into the fields coexisting with our cattle until they move on.
Like all the wildlife, we do not harass them. We leave them alone… maybe some light stalking from afar for some pics
We normally don’t see them until September but like everyone else in the west water is scarce.
