Check out this amazing book store run by the sweetest woman who just needs a little encouragement! Running a small business is hard sometimes, but local support can make all the difference!
Not gonna lie, I've thought about quitting a lot lately. I guess that's probably normal in small business? Normal, but not fun. (I'm not quitting, just sharing life here at the store lately!)
I haven't been able to concentrate much lately and haven't sat to read a full physical book at all this year.
Last week I was struggling and looked up to see this note in my office. I read it in a book or heard it on a podcast during the first couple years building everything. And I think it's true. I can't imagine not doing this, or what my life would be like without this space. But man, some weeks it feels like it would be a relief.
I'm waiting on lots of books to arrive right now, for the simple fact that I made an error. I'm frustrated with myself and a little stressed. I'm telling myself we're still going to have a great Indie Bookstore Day! If you're waiting on a special order, it's going to take a little longer than it normally does right now. We might be missing some new releases this week too! I'm so sorry!
Don't mess with me this week though. 😂😭
If you want cool local places to shop I'm telling you show up for them. Your presence, your support, your encouragement means life and death for a small business, and for what exists in your community.
I know this is a season. It's just that I prefer the beautiful fall harvest rather than the cold winter air. But spring is coming!
