Honey Haven Baking Co. in Marquette is bringing something the Upper Peninsula has never quite had before: a dedicated gluten free bakery where every single item is made with care, certified clean, and safe for those living with celiac disease and serious food allergies.
Owner Bailey Knight started baking from her home kitchen in early 2024, driven by her own celiac disease diagnosis and her son's food allergies. What began as a passion project at the Marquette Farmers Market grew into a full storefront at 603 North Third Street. Today, Honey Haven Baking Co. offers a wide range of breads and sweets that are free from gluten, egg, and soy, with local honey as a signature ingredient. The bakery recently earned the GFFP certification from the National Celiac Association, a recognition that sets them apart as a truly safe space for the gluten free community.
For families across the U.P. who have long struggled to find baked goods they can actually trust, Honey Haven Baking Co. is more than just a bakery. It is a place where everyone gets to enjoy something delicious without worry.
If you are in Marquette, stop in and pick up a loaf of their famous Honey Sourdough Sandwich Bread. Share this post to help spread the word about this incredible local business.
From all of us at Michigan Small Business Spotlight, thank you, Bailey, for baking with such heart and purpose.
