Our Story

Derecho - Straightline winds the strength of a hurricane up to 120 MPH, inland, in Cedar Rapids Iowa. No one could have predicted this. Or the amount of damage it would cause. I am one of many who have sustained incredible damage to my business. Windows gone, ceilings left bare. Lights exploded. Equipment whipped around and blown over. I cannot even.... As a result the heartbreaking news is that I am not open until further notice. Please don’t ask when. I don’t have an answer. Just like everything else in 2020, it will be one day at a time. Nothing more and nothing less. Pray for the people of my community as they continue clean up. No more words.

Until we get the all-clear, Jules Bakery will be following a temporary schedule and process of curbside pick up for carryout desserts. Please call or email your order in advance of arrival so that it can be ready for immediate pickup. We will set a time for you to come in, staggering our orders so that we don’t have more than a one or two people in the shop at once. I can create a birthday cake for you with less than a day’s notice! So, please keep our dollars local. I truly appreciate you helping me keep my doors open. Stay healthy. Wash your hands. Sing Happy Birthday. Serve dessert first!
