Blossom's Cupcakes for a Cause was started by Sydney Stapley, a 13 year old middle school student from Marion, Iowa. She got the idea after learning that the sister of one of her good friends had been born with a rare heart disease called Truncus Arteriosus & would be having surgery soon. Syd wanted to show her support not just for her friend, & her sister, but for others she knew might face simil

ar challenges. She wasn't sure initially what she could do but knew that she loved to bake...and loved cupcakes. So a seed was planted...and from that the plan grew. A plan to go door to door in her own neighborhood to ask for donations in honor of her friends sister & in support the American Heart Association in exchange for cupcakes. So with just a few tasty cupcake recipes in hand & a little help from her mom the baking began. And in just one weekend, with a bit of leg work, & several dozen cupcakes...Syd was able to raise just over $300 for the American Heart Association. Ever since that weekend...Syd has wanted to do more to support her community and those around her. Now you might be wondering...what does "Blossom" have to do with it? Well initially, adding "Blossom" to the name was just a fun way for her to let her dad be a part of it all given that's one of his favorite nicknames for her. But it also reflects her overall goal to grow awareness and support in her community and the world around. Do good. Feel good. Blossom's Cupcakes are her gift of appreciation to you for your support towards the charity of her choice. Suggested donation of $1-$2 per cupcake ( though more is always welcome). 100% proceeds go to charity. Donations are not tax deductible unless check is written directly to the charitable organization as Blossom herself is not a 501c3 tax exempt organization. For Information on Cupcake Offerings/Flavors...check out her Menu link on the main page. In order to manage supply costs, the minimum order allowed typically one dozen of one flavor. Exceptions may be made if order can be combined with another orders being completed at the same time. Feel free to inquire about options.

Blossom's Cupcakes for a Cause -Closed

Good Morning to all!

From the very beginning of Blossom's Cupcakes for a Cause when Syd went door to door hawking her cupcakes to raise money for the American Heart Association she received nothing but incredible support & encouragement from family, friends, and strangers alike! It made the baking so much sweeter along the way.

And just the other day a post from the 4th of July 2020 popped up and made me smile. Lemon Love cupcakes were on the menu and they looked delish! I miss that time in the kitchen with her.

Now sadly, the era of Blossom's Cupcakes for a Cause has officially come to a permanent pause for now. Sydney aka Blossom graduated from LInn-Mar in May of 2022 & headed north to Wisconsin Eau Claire where she survived her freshman & where she continues to look forward to what her future will bring.

Will baking be in the mix? We're not sure.

But she loved it along with the meaning and purpose behind it. And she has zero regrets about the hours and hours spent in our kitchen covered in flour & frosting.

So this post is a final THANK YOU to each and every one of you who supported her venture in any way shape or form. She couldn't have done it with out you! And as her mama...I remain so incredibly proud of what she was able to accomplish!

So until the next venture...or a Blossom's Baking Re-boot we thank you from the bottom of our sugar filled souls!

HELLO! With school and work I haven’t been doing any orders but had a big order for a graduation and wanted to share what we made! Due to working a lot this summer, if interested in ordering cupcakes please shoot me a message at least 2 weeks in advance! I still love doing this just want to make sure I have plenty of time to make your orders perfect! We are always willing to try new flavors or variation and are continuing to update the menu as we find new flavors we love!

Mama Blossom here to wish you all an incredibly happy holiday! 2020 has had its challenges for all of us...Blossom included. But we’ve made it through & are looking forward to a better 2021!

Definitely proud of this kiddo. Even with a change in her donation model necessary to support the cost of supplies &. the growing coffee habit of a teenage girl… she remained on a mission to bring sweetness & support through her cupcakes.

Sending off her year end check today totaling $78 (10% of net profit) to Matthew 25. ❤️😊

Hello again cupcake lovers! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we'd love to help you out!
In the mix for November & December we have a few seasonal flavors which include: Pumpkin Spice, Hot Chocolate, Sweet Potato Pie, and our holiday kits. More info on our previous post about those kits! Don't worry, you can order other flavors besides the seasonal flavors!

Pricing:
$2.00 per cupcake for Pumpkin, Sweet Potato Pie, other regular flavors
$3.00 per cupcake for Hot Chocolate **
$3.00 per holiday kit cupcakes

Pricing to reflect additional cost of product and packaging.

To order please text Blossom at 319-432-8121 by Monday for Thanksgiving orders. Other holiday orders at least a week in advance. We will also post as normal if we have extras for sale along the way. NO Black Friday weekend orders as Blossom will be working at her other job all day long...all weekend long.
