A few months ago, The Dipped Rusk was just an idea—a blank bakery bag, a mood board, and a name written in Sharpie.

Since then, it has turned into early mornings, trial batches, logo stickers in bulk, and now—seeing rusks, a South African childhood staple, sitting on the shelf of an American coffee shop.

This year reminded me that you don’t need to have everything perfectly figured out to begin. You just need to begin. It taught me that dreaming big means starting small.

Ending this year deeply grateful, and stepping into the new one excited to keep learning, baking, and growing—one batch at a time.
