My entire Cake Decorating Tip collection got a bath today. The container I keep them in has compartments for each type, but as I carried it to the work table, the lid came off and they went everywhere! All my organization was erased in a heartbeat. Now fully washed, sorted and drying…and soon back in their container in proper order.
All finished and ready for a big Delta pilot retirement party! These cookies had lots of detail and took some time to make, but I am happy with the end result.
Congratulations and Best Wishes to one of our own Cobb County Police Officers on his retirement. We are grateful for your service! He is an avid sportsman, who has spent time duck hunting in Alaska. This was the theme requested by his co-worker.

A recent Halloween themed Sweet 16 Birthday cake. It’s been a busy month of baking!
It’s blackberries! Thousands of tiny fondant balls applied one by one creating blackberries. Just a small part of an upcoming wedding cake. Stay tuned for more about this project!

For a recent wedding in Hawaii…cookies done Navy style! The Groom is a Navy Helicopter Pilot. Seems my cookies keep going to Hawaii and leaving me here in Georgia.
Wedding and Groom’s cake from yesterday at West Milford Farm in Cumming, Georgia. Wedding cake is Lemon Buttercream and Groom’s cake is Chocolate Chip Cookie cake with fresh Strawberries. A huge rain storm quickly popped up just after we safely got the cakes inside the building, then the sun came back out, shortly after we finished setting things up.
Just in time for the closing on a new home for a customer...a variety of cookies to celebrate their new Cobb County home. An extra large cookie to depict the new house was included in the grouping. (See last photo of actual home).

4-tier Wedding Cake iced in white buttercream. Monogram created out of fondant. Hand-made edible lace added to another tier. Adorned top to bottom with edible sugar pearls.

It’s time for Christmas Cookies!
The cake that almost didn’t happen...and it had nothing to do with the outcome of the World Series!
Way back in the Fall of 2019, before the pandemic, this LA Dodgers Groom’s cake was ordered by the Groom’s mother for a May 2020 wedding...well you know what happened in early 2020...SOoooo the wedding was postponed, then postponed again, then rescheduled for October 30th, (with NO idea at the time who would even make it to the World Series—or come out as Champs), BUT then nature stepped in and brought us hurricane Zeta! We lost power which usually presents a problem when you need to whip up cake batter and icing!!! FORTUNATELY, with weather predictions advising us the potential to lose power was eminent, I went ahead and baked the cakes, wrapped them tightly and temporarily put them in my freezer two days early and mixed my icing the night before the storm hit. We did lose power BUT I decorated the cake with no power by daylight and finished the last details as the sun started setting by lanterns!
The Dodgers won the World Series and neither the Corona Virus or Hurricane Zeta prevented the Wedding (or the Groom’s cake) from happening!!
Almost forgot to post photos of this one! I made this for 15-year old Maisie...I’ve made her birthday cake every year since she was 8!
A recent birthday cake for a young man who’s an avid Goosebumps reader. Three of his favorite books were combined to create his cake. Cake top decoration was sculpted our of rice cereal treats, then covered in gum paste.
Over the weekend, a last minute birthday cake order came in, and I’m always happy to try and accommodate fulfilling birthday wishes! It was a fun one to make!

Last weekend I had the honor of making a beautiful 4-tier wedding cake for a special couple. The cake was adorned with hand-made gum paste roses. The rain held off long enough for a safe delivery to the Woodstock, Georgia venue.
Spa Day!! Happy 14th Birthday to the Birthday girl!! I’m sure you and all your party guests are looking beautiful!!
