🥳 I just celebrated my 7th full year as a legal business, but I've been doing cakes for 20 years. 20 YEARS!!! 🤯
I decided last year that I didn't want to do decorated cakes anymore, only weddings and cookies. But I had a hard time saying no. Then, I started working a remote job in customer service for Carnival Cruise Line to help transition me into taking fewer orders. Well, that didn't work well either. I still had a hard time saying no because I've been making your kids' birthday cakes for several years. So I began working 2 jobs over the last 6 months. I have learned that I mentally and physically can not handle that. My contract with Carnival ends this week, and I have decided not to continue with them. Aaaaaand I do not want to continue baking every weekend, either. So, with that being said, I am hanging up my apron and retiring from the bakery. Yes, you read that right. My calendar is officially closed.

Thank you to my faithful customers, aka my VIPs! You guys booked with me year after year. You trusted me to make your sweets extra cute for your kiddos. You all have been my biggest cheerleaders! And most of you converted from a customer to my friend. I am forever grateful!!
After I complete the rest of the orders I have on my calendar, I will begin selling my baking inventory. I'll be selling Eddie (my edible image printer), my 3d printer, various sizes of cake pans, cookie cutters, chocolate molds, tools, food coloring, etc. After 20 years, I have accumulated a room full that will need to go! Be looking for that in the fall.
To Charlie, Alivia, Jacob, and Natalie, I'm sorry for booking cakes every weekend for months at a time. I'm sorry for all the long nights that I spent away from you in order to build 'my business.' Thank you for letting me turn a dream into a reality, even if it did take over our lives. I look forward to having every night and weekend to spend with you all! We'll have more quality time, game nights, and weekend trips! I can't wait!
