My name is Jami Gallegos, and I am the owner of Suga Mama Sweets. I started Suga Mama Sweets in 2016 after having worked in retail bakeries for over 15 years. At the time, I was a stay at home mom who had all but "retired" from cake decorating. Mass producing hundreds of cakes per week in a retail setting had started to take its toll, and I thought I had given up "caking" for good. But then I star

ted to make more specialized and unique cakes for friends and family and was highly encouraged by everyone to start up shop. Now that I provide one of a kind, custom orders, I have found my passion again for caking and baking and am really excited for what the future holds! Currently I am licensed under the Washington State Cottage Law- I operate my business from my home, but am licensed the same as any other food business and follow the same health department rules and regulations. However, with a booming business, we are now starting the process of looking into a retail or studio type location in Maple Valley, WA.
