I am looking for an extra set of hands in the kitchen this holiday season.

As custom holiday orders and seasonal baking ramp up, keeping up with small-batch scratch quality takes a lot of long hours in the kitchen. To make sure every bake receives the care it needs, I am looking for someone reliable to help with prep work and packaging boxes and orders.

Across all three of my markets, only a limited batch makes it to the table before an item sells out.

Customers walk up to the table, look at the board, and see sold out written next to the item they had their heart set on. Hearing “Darn it, sold out!” makes me genuinely sad for them after they made the trip out, but after long hours in the kitchen, seeing empty trays is quietly pleasing and the sweetest compliment.

Everything is baked in small batches from scratch, so once a tray is gone for the day, that is it.

Something spooky is coming to the table this Saturday at Burlington Farmers Market.

I spent the week working on the new Boodiful cinnamon rolls, baking a cookies & cream cinnamon roll and finishing each one with red dripping royal icing, dark cookie crumbs, gummy worms, skeleton hands, and tombstone toppers.

Each Boodiful roll comes with its own Halloween carrying box. I am only bringing a limited amount this weekend. Market runs 8:30 AM to 1 PM.

Looking forward to seeing everyone out at the market.

This is what happens when I rush.

I was rushing and not paying attention to the temperature setting of the oven. When I took it out, I was so angry and disappointed with myself. How could | let this happen?

I thought about just taking it off the menu because making it over would throw my schedule off.

It was a quiet reminder that it never pays to rush. I had to slow down and not be so hard on myself. I made it over anyway because I really did not want to disappoint my customers.

When I got to the market, I was so glad | made that decision. 🩷
