Kakey's Bakery will be taking a temporary pause as we redirect our focus to enhance the backend of our operations. While certain circumstances are beyond our control, we see this as an opportunity to strengthen our foundation for a more delightful future.

During this time, our search for a new commercial space is underway, and we're excited about the prospect of rekindling the oven fires soon. In the meantime, I'll be busy crafting new recipes and would love your involvement in testing these delectable creations. Be sure to catch the latest updates on our page, where the essence of baking will continue to flourish.

A heartfelt thank you to each one of you for your unwavering support. Your presence in our journey has been instrumental, and the lessons learned are treasures we hold close. It's because of you that Kakey's Bakery has reached the heights it has, and for that, we're truly grateful.

As my second day of this year has begun, I am on the second page of a planner I got hoping to help me be more organized, prayerful, and grateful for my life. I am tracking all sorts of good things. Including quotes. And as I am striving to be a better person, for myself, I am reminded that life is full of challenges and that I must choose my hard. I found this online and wrote it in my planner/journal. I hope this can help someone else as you embark on a new chapter in your life.

Also, when I decided that I was going to leave my job at Walmart, someone told me that it was going to be hard to run my own business, and he wasn't lying. But I told him then that I was choosing my hard because it was way harder for me to stay at the job than to start my own business. And I am not regretting one bit that decision I made!

Even if you aren't able to donate, please share! A community is so strong when it comes together. I know from personal experience when I had an apartment fire a year ago yesterday and when my community came together for us, it was powerful! I have never felt so loved as I did then when it comes to community.
