Some people walk into the bakery as customers… and somehow end up becoming family.
This week we lost one of our favorite regulars. The kind of guy who would come in for coffee, sit awhile, complain about people, claim he didn’t like anybody… and then stay and talk anyway.
If you knew him, you know he had a reputation for being a little grumpy, but the truth is he had one of the softest hearts around. He spent many mornings here telling stories about his old antique truck, giving me a hard time, and very seriously reminding me not to tell anyone he was eating donuts he absolutely was NOT supposed to be eating. You know I’m not good with secrets.. so now I’m blasting it to the world of Facebook😬
Twisted Cupcake won’t feel the same without you hanging around the shop, showing up with holiday decor to add to my obsession of decorating, pretending you didn’t enjoy being there. I hope wherever you landed there’s watered down coffee, beautiful old trucks to admire, and unlimited donuts (with no one around to tell you that you can’t have them)
Thanks for being part of our little bakery family. You’ll be missed around here more than you can imagine. We love you and will miss you tremendously Less🖤
And just so everyone knows, the sign he brought me that still hangs in the back of the shop says it best:
“Drink up, bitches” and that feels like exactly how he’d want to sign off. Rest in chaotic peace, my friend🤘🏼
