Hoping your weekend was full of rest. After the crazy weather Saturday, it was so nice to get out and enjoy the blessings of our Father in His beautiful world. Tomorrow, we get busy with sourdough for week. See you all soon!

Let me show you a favorite way to enjoy a loaf. This was a jalapeño cheddar I pulled yesterday because it wasn't "fresh." It had been marked down and was just sitting around. There was nothing wrong with it. Please don't be afraid to buy a reduced loaf. If you see no mold, there shouldn't be a problem with it. Slice that bad boy (literally if you have seen some of my recent posts🤣) and have it for breakfast.

Some of us in our house are in love with a fried egg sandwich. Fry your eggs to your favorite level of perfection (runny for me) and place them a top toasted, buttery bread. The slice in the reel was so thin and crisp, I almost thought I was eating a chip🤭. The eggs and sourdough were thoroughly enjoyed open face and my second piece was turned into what I lovingly think of as "breakfast dessert."

The jalapeño jelly came from Freedom Farmstead. We love it so much that once, I bought all she had in stock. (Sorry, Mrs. Katie. I was making you work more.) Smear some cream cheese on that slice for some extra richness. Nevermind the fact that it was nearly dripping with butter. Little bit of heat, little bit of sweet, can't go wrong.

Come along with me as I restock GG's Roots and Remedies LLC. There are several other vendors in this farmstand. The Cozy Crumb Bakery has jams and jellies, along with tantalizing yeast bread options. There is fresh and local honey. Goats milk products, meat, and Eggs. Also Friday is milk drop day. The Farmhouse on Persimmon Hill does pre-orders for fresh milk.

Well, well, well, another week, another adventure. Stewart and I just had to visit the fairytale inspiring land of Germany. We had heard so many tales and legends, we just had to see for ourselves.

Our first stop was by a police officer. Apparently there are some exceptions to the no speed limit on the autobahn. 🤷‍♀️

We were on our way to this enchanted castle called Neuschwanstein Castle. It's said to be the inspiration for multiple Disney castles. Stewart and I could have gotten lost so easily there. If we didnt follow our guide, we would have lingered in the kitchen, obviously! All those workable work spaces to produce loads of sourdough!! Count me in.

We wouldn't have been thorough in our visit if we didn't see one more legendary thing. While visiting Volksgarten Park with Stewarts cousin (that's right, its banana bread) we experienced the absolute horror of "Kuno the Killer" catfish. It has been known to eat people's puppies! Stay back from the water's edge in this little park.

Once again, although jet lagged, we have rushed home to make sure your favorite traveling sourdough is stocked and ready for you at your favorite locations: Sharla's Selectables; BWfarmstand Greenwood; Freedom Farmstead; GG's Roots and Remedies LLC; and The Micro Dairy on Willson Lane. Disclaimer: the photo of the castle is certainly a fake since they don't allow photography within the castle walls. But if I did pay $215 for a tour, I might have to sneak one anyways🤭

I can't believe how incredibly fun these are to make!! I am glad you guys eat my bread so I can keep playing in the kitchen. Playdoh dreams realizes into adulthood with Challah.
