I’ve been quiet on this page lately. It’s at least partially because my life has gone to the chickens now that it’s springtime, so I thought I’d share some pics from today. We moved our biggest batch of chicks (some future egg layers, some destined for the freezer) into their big chicken coop, and moved some new babies out of the incubator into the brooder with turkeys and guineas (no pics of those). Our Breakfast Club laying flock is all tucked into bed tonight after filling our basket with eggs today.
I’ve got several garden projects in the works too, though I’m always happy to admit that I’m not much of a gardener. I love the idea of a garden, and I love creative canning projects because of my garden… but the actual act of gardening is not very exciting for me most of the time. My 6 year old daughter loves it though, so a garden we shall grow 🙂
I AM still taking marshmallow orders for those of you who have been wondering. I’ve had several folks reach out to ask within the past week or so and I thought I should throw that out there. I haven’t had spare time to whip any up on my own, but if you send me a message I’m happy to work on any custom orders you send my way. I prefer a 2 week heads up, but sometimes I can get them squeezed into my schedule with one week’s notice. Be thinking of mother’s day and graduation parties, too. Happy to make your mama some chocolate covered strawberry marshmallows, and I can find sprinkles to match any graduation color scheme you need 🙂
