Well - what's on the menu for Saturday besides glorious weather and you smiling faces? Here's a few things: Lemon Sunshine rolls, Cashew Turtle rolls, Strawberry Rhubarb Turnovers, Brownie tarts, Jalapeno Cheese Scones, Potato Cheese Bread, lotsa buns including Pepper Jack Cheese Buns, Cookies, Danish, Strudels and on and on. Open house again in my garden - four other vendors as well this Sunday 10-4. Gardening class and brief tour at 1 pm. Iris and Peonies are blooming! Cinnamon twists, fried Persians, Strawberry Lemonade Scones, Triple berry fruit crisp, Strawberry frosted cinnamon roll with Chocolate ganache, Butterscotch Pecan Cinnamon roll, Jalapeno Focaccia, Roasted Garlic Ciabatta Buns and about 30 other items - see you there! Hey Friends - a few of the plenty we plan to have available this Saturday. Roasted garlic Ciabatta buns (pictured), Black Pepper & Parmesan Focaccia, tarts: lemon, lime, strawberry. Blueberry Lemon bread, Java Bear Scone, Rhubarb scone, triple berry crumb cake, Carmelitas, Danish strawberry cream cheese coffee cakes, Rhubarb and strawberry turnovers, cookies: lemon crinkle, crispy coconut, snickerdoodles with or without side cup of caramel. Almond Blitz cinnamon rolls, peanut butter, chai tea glazed and on and on and on. =) See you there! Best Buy in Mankato 8-noon every Saturday.

Hello friends of Market Bakery! As many of you know, I am also a horticulturist, and I first started at the Mankato Farmers Market as a plant and bouquet seller back in 2009. In 2011, I started to add a bakery line...and now I have a 'bakery line!' Starting later this month I am going to be hosting some 'open houses' at my property on beautiful Lake Emily near St. Peter. I am about 9 miles from Menards. I invite you to check out my new FB page "Lakeside Gardens & more." The times and dates are posted there as well as some pics. What will be going on you wonder? Self garden tours, perennial plants from my collection for sale, any leftover baked goods from Saturday for sale, some fresh from the oven pastries as well. Bring a coffee and enjoy a treat sitting at one of the many areas by the lake. At 1 o'clock of each open house date, I will be giving a free garden class 30-60 minutes worth. Bring a chair if you wish, some seating available. Parking is limited and hopefully I get a traffic director to help! Please carpool if possible. I am not sure to expect 5 or 50 or 500! Uneven surfaces everywhere. Children must be directly with their adults at all times, and no pets allowed. Including a few pics! Please like and share to move us around FB.

Tomorrow is almost here and the bakery kitchen is busy making lots of goodies for the Farmer's Market! A few items beside the usual array of favorites: Pina Colada Bread, Banana Bread, Cream Puffs with chocolate or raspberry fluff, Eclairs, Margarita Cookies with a side cup of lime filling, Sweet Focaccia - Rhubarb Strawberry & Orange Marmalade. Less than a week my friends! Here is a partial list of the items planned for May2, opening day!
