We’ll have a few new items this Saturday, including our first attempt by request, to make gluten-free, vegan, filled donuts. We’ll have a small number of these, and hope you can give us feedback.

In addition, we’ll have our gluten-free cookies, breakfast pastries, cinnamon rolls, focaccia, cinnamon raisin bread and sandwich bread.

On the not-gluten-free side, we’ll have our amazing double-chocolate cherry brownies, choc-chip cookies, and many, many bagels.

We will be at the Manistee Farmers Market this Saturday, July 25th, with all manner of delights, including:
Bagels, bagels, bagels!
Zucchini bread,
Cookies of many flavors,
German-style Apple-Cherry-Raisin Yeast Bread (Apfelbrot),
Blueberry breakfast tarts,
Gluten-free Tomato-Basil Focaccia
And more!

And, we do take special orders that you can pick up at the Market, including pies like this Gluten-free Blueberry Pie. Give us a week’s notice so we can add it to our baking list.

Celebrating 250 with a special bread from my great-grandfather, Carl Wehrle, an immigrant who arrived in the USA from Freiburg, Germany, as a small child in the 1890s. He became a saloon keeper, who switched to baking during Prohibition, and developed his Apfelbrot recipe during that time. Apfelbrot is a yeast bread with apples, raisins, and cherries, and a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon, but is not a sweet bread.

Come try a loaf of Apfelbrot today, along with our other great items at the Manistee Farmers Market.

Hey, Manistee, meet our Chocolate Cayenne Snickerdoodle. With organic cinnamon and local maple syrup, these hit all those Mexican-style hot chocolate vibes in cookie form. Gluten-free, btw. We’ll have them at the Manistee Farmers Market this Saturday, 6-27.
