Happy New Year!
Our bowl of Ozoni 2026 consisted of freshly pound mochi wrapped in napa cabbage, sheared with butter, topped with shrimp, and plum-flower carrot in clear broth. It was simple yet deep harmony of flavors!
We also made Osechi in my grandma’s Ojubako, stacked bento boxes. Thanks to my helpful daughter, we had more traditional dishes represented.
