I’ve always dreamed of switching my family to all things sourdough, but it felt like such a big leap—until life gave us a reason. When we discovered my son couldn’t tolerate dairy, we realized how hard it was to find clean, wholesome bread in stores. Most loaves had ingredients we couldn’t pronounce—or dairy we couldn’t have. That’s when I turned to the beauty of sourdough: just flour, water, and

salt. What started as baking for my family quickly turned into sharing with friends and loved ones, and their encouragement led me to start selling at farmers markets. Tanisha is a local mom that is living the entrepreneurial adventure! She brings organic sourdough bread, various baked goods like brown butter cookies and granola, as well as sourdough starter kits, so you can try your hand at sourdough. Most recently, she has acquired commercial size oven for her home kitchen - which means more bread for us all!

"Community members have asked to buy my homemade products that I make for my own family; I thought this would be a great avenue to do so. I have been making the items I am selling for my own family for some time now. Excited to share with others. I have also been certified in Cottage Food Law."

A quick update: starting this week, I’ll be at the Chelsea Farmers Market on Wednesday from 10am–3pm! I’ll be there once a month moving forward. On the weeks I’m in Chelsea, I will not be attending the Manchester Farmers Market. There are no changes to the Saline Market schedule—just adding Chelsea to the lineup!
