Birthday celebration with cannoli đ
Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
A magical Christmas cake for a sweet little girl who loves her dogs and is the cutest little lady bug who shares so many adventures with her adoring dad. This cake was so much fun to create. Many hours of sculpting went in to this creation. Sculpting doesnât come naturally to me so typically I will go through several versions before I am content with the final outcome.
Cake details:
Rich chocolate cake filled with chocolate ganache and chocolate buttercream.
Gift box: cardboard covered in fondant. Bow: fondant
Dogs: Modeling chocolate and fondant
Snowman and girl: fondant
Lolly pops, snowflakes, holly: fondant
Gingerbread men: fondant
Gumdrops: store bought.
I cannot believe 2022 has almost come to a close. So many cakes were created this year and I have so many favorites. This one stands out as one of my absolute faves. The rustic, romantic, muted colors and texture created an intriguing centerpiece. And square cakes may be my new obsession! I cannot wait to see what 2023 has in store!
This old girl just doesnât feel good lately. Getting some couch privileges and extra snuggles. (I just realized I posted this to my business page but Iâll leave it here just because she is so đĽ°)
This was created yesterday for a 16th bday! She requested something with gold. I found this design on Pinterest and was pleasantly surprised when it was relatively easy!
Isomalt sugar bowl
Truffles
French Vanilla cake filled with raspberry preserves and French Vanilla buttercream.
Not one cake was made today but a variety of cookie goodies were!
Snickerdoodle
Orange cranberry
Molasses
Almond Joy coconut clusters
Christmas toffee
Peanut butter/chocolate fudge.
Will we get a white Christmas this year?? đ¤
Isomalt sugar bowls. These make very dramatic cake toppers and are edible. The caveat to that isâŚif you do sample it..do so in moderation. Isomalt sugar is made from beet sugar and can cause stomach upset đŹ if too much is consumed. đ
Making an isomalt sugar cake topper. This is a fun but dangerous substance. It will take layers of skin off it makes contact for too long. It actually got the fingers on my left hand making this video. Ouch!
These toppers can be left empty, accented with gold and silver luster dust, filled with fruit and/or candy. It can be melted down over and over again until you get the exact shape and color you want!
A tasting quartet! My tasting boxes consist of 4 cupcakes per flavor with a maximum of 4 varieties. I am usually open to trying any flavor combo you can throw at me! You can come to my home and enjoy your tasting box while we chat about your cake design or they can be picked up and enjoyed on your own time with friends and family. My tasting boxes are $50 which will be deducted from the total of your custom cake order should you decide to contract with Bel Fiore!
This tasting box consisted of:
French vanilla cake with French vanilla buttercream
Lemon cake filled with lemon curd and raspberry preserves and frosted in lemon buttercream with fresh zest
White almond cake filled with raspberry preserves and frosted in white almond buttercream
Vanilla praline cake filled with praline filling and frosted with a brown sugar infused buttercream and candied pecans.
What would your tasting box consist of?
Such a whirlwind of cakes and parties this weekend but so much fun as well! Thank you for allowing us to also be part of your special celebrations!
Snowflake quinceanera cake
Ohio State Brutus birthday cake
Gluten free cupcakes with wafer paper poinsettias
One yr old Boho rainbow themed birthday cake.
A busy week of cakes makes for a very delicious weekend!
Wafer paper, sugar flowers, cold porcelain, modeling chocolate, rice paper and fondant helped create this variety of celebration sweets.
A very special quinceanera cake today that we were honored to also attend! đ
âA cardinal appears when a loved one is nearâ. This is one of my first painted cakes and itâs still one of my favorites. I love when a cake is not only pretty but has a special meaning as well. đ
Just a bit of the prep work that goes into assembling a cake. This will be a 4 tier marble cake with a top tier of Kit Kat just for the birthday girl!
All current orders will be fulfilled but my books will not open back up until March 2023. Bel Fiore will be focusing on family time, some kitchen reno and testing out new recipes! Cheers to a wonderful holiday season to you as well!
Just another marble MondayâŚđ
Iâd like to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! Iâll be taking a break from social media tomorrow and I hope your day is filled with lots of family and friends, delicious food, festive drinks, and maybe even cake!! đ

Handpainted fox on fondant
Edible wafer paper leaves

Whatâs your favorite frosting? Me?âŚ.hands down, cream cheese frosting. Cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and a dash of orange extract. The tangy sweetness is ahhhhmazing with carrot cake, spice cake, red velvetâŚwellâŚ.just about any cake in my opinion!
Such a sweet celebration cake for twins.
âTea for Twoâ themed celebration cake for the cutest little two year old twins. So much fun creating this one!
Modeling chocolate birds
Fondant covered styro ball and fondant spout and handle for the tea pot
Candy melts formed into moulds for the tea cups.
A mix of cold porcelain, sugar paste and wafer paper flowers and greenery.
Coming your way! Iâve had a few suggestionsâŚmainly from my frosting loving husband to tweak the ratio of cake to frosting/filling on my cakes. From now on Iâll take these extra steps to give you a cake packed with even more flavor! Torting each cake layer into two separate layers will now give each cake 6 layers instead of my usual 3-4! This will allow for a bit more fillings such as raspberry preserves and lemon curd. And a little more frosting in every bite. If you prefer less or more of something always be sure to let me know when ordering!
I was so intimidated by these flowers but I absolutely love them. Juliet Rose in cold porcelain with some antique pinks and mauves
I adore these flowers. Hellebore is a relatively simple flower but it is so unique and beautiful.
Cold porcelain in shades of mauve and pink.
Can you guess what flower these petals will make? One of my faves!!
After seeing my mom and her boyfriend dressed up in steampunk for Halloween I knew exactly what kind of cake I needed to make her for her birthday! Arenât they the Cutest?ďżź
So In love with this unique use of edible wafer paper. There are no rules in art and this translates to my cakes as well! What unique cake style would you like to see next?

This beauty is headed to the beautiful area of Culpepper VA this afternoon. Could there be a more gorgeous afternoon for a wedding?
A mix of wafer paper, sugar paste, flexible rice flour/sugar paste and cold porcelain clay created these florals and greenery.
Such a fun cake. And fun little fact about this cake..I chose the wrong base color not once but twice! Had to scrape layers of buttercream off and start overâŚtwice..but Iâm glad I didâŚthe right color scheme makes all of the difference!
Such a fun Oktoberfest themed cake delivered this morning to such a fun loving family!
Cold porcelain edelweiss flowers
Wafer paper Autumn leaves
Sugar paste wheat sprigs
Modeling chocolate pretzels
Fondant and wafer paper Bavarian cap and feathers
Happy Halloween from our family to yours! Hope your trick or treating tonight is filled with spooky and hilarious fun! đ
Wafer paper coming to life.
Fun little compilation of making a wafer paper flower. Can you tell I was heavy handed with the color at the end? Each flower has a trial and error segment of time..once I hit that perfect combo of just enough moisture and colorâŚitâs magic!

Cranking out some wafer paper Autumn leaves this morning. So strangely addictive and calming to make these!
Little filler elements can make an arrangement really come to life!

Iâm in and out of town a lot lately but I am trying to learn some new techniques with the bits of free time I have..these are sugar paste eucalyptus seed pods and twigs.
