Big City Market & Coffee Bar is no longer open for operation.

We truly appreciate the opportunities we have had to serve you. Please know we gave everything we had to this endeavor. We love the relationships we have built and treasure each and every person that has walked through our doors. It is very bittersweet to make this announcement, but we have to do what is best at this point.

This ❗️IS NOT❗️ the end of us. We have ALOT of ideas and plans for the near future. HINT: baked goods, preorders, catering events, social gatherings, & MORE!! 🤍

As we close in on the last few days of operations as we currently know it, we wanted to share our final schedule.

Unfortunately, the last couple weeks prior to our vacation & since announcing our closure of this chapter, business at the store has continued to slow. Making it very difficult for us without conflict.

Logistically speaking, we have looked and discussed what the best option for us is moving forward and into what we have coming.

We have landed with offering a final few weeks of brunch. Please, please understand that to make this feasible we need your support. If the days don’t go well enough for us to continue we may have to make the difficult choice to close prior to our tentative last day.

🗓️ Therefore for the remainder of June, we will only be open:
📍 June 13: 8-12 for BRUNCH ONLY
📍June 20: 8-12 for BRUNCH ONLY
📍June 27: 8:12 for BRUNCH ONLY

These opportunities will be the final opportunities to use any gift cards for Big City Market & Coffee Bar as is.

We do have some very exciting things to come! We are working diligently on moving pieces to make sure the community still has access to some of the well known and loved items that we introduced in our era. We think you will love what we have coming! 🤍

I encourage you to follow our Big City BBQ page and be watching for maybe another type of extension we will bring to you in a new capacity!

Being in this community means being behind this community, Kohl and Katie are a HUGE part of what giving to those around us means.

They have been such loyal, important members of the small businesses and especially big city.
Kohl and his students had a hand in helping window paint for Christmas.
Katie’s sticker machine has sat proudly in the Lobby.
They spend their time involved in so many key events and activities in our community.
As well as being regulars at Big City

Today is our Sweet Bri’s Graduation. She is the smiling face you see often behind our register!

Co-Op has allowed us to grow to love Bri more than we already did. Today she graduates and steps into the next chapter of her life and we are so proud to been a small part of her senior year! She is going to do great things!

Help us congratulate her! We can’t wait to watch you succeed in all the things you do!

It is with very heavy hearts, tired minds and exhausted efforts we announce the closing of (The Dexter’s) Big City Market & Coffee Bar as of June 27, 2026.

In the month of June we will be open as follows and this is subject to change - be sure to use your gift cards before we close as they are non-transferable and will expire.

June 12: 11-3 (Limited Lunch)
June 13: 8-12 (Brunch only)
June 19: 11-3 (Limited Lunch)
June 20: 8-12 (Brunch Only)
June 27: 8-12 (Brunch Only)

When we chose to embark on this journey, our goal was to bring back a town cherished staple and breathe life into something that was so special to so many.

While we have given our best effort, devoted our time and tried our hardest, the sad reality is that we just can’t keep the doors open and flourish.

We all know that being a small business with the hardships of today’s economy and rapidly growing corporate businesses in the area is hard. In fact it’s sometimes detrimental to people and places like us.

☀️On the bright side, this won’t be the end of us all together. ☀️

We will continue our BBQ truck. Offering catering, attending events and bringing some of our family staples & your favorites with us. We intend to keep our sweets & baked goods available to the community at a new capacity that we will announce soon. (👀 you don’t wanna miss that)

We can not thank each and every one of you that has been in & supported us enough. Every sandwich, every coffee, every slice of cheese cake and every other item we have made has been with love and gratitude.

We hope you will continue to support us in the next chapter as well!
