•W E L C O M E to our K I T C H E N•

I am thrilled to bring you what has been a dream of mine for years and years ..... Sweet GeorgieAnn’s Bake Shop and Coffee Service .....I am Julia and over the next few days and weeks I hope to introduce you to my entire incredible family! My side-kick in this business is my 9 year old.....Annalee - I call her Annie....you will learn more about her and her sisters soon enough .....but for now, this is our story......

Georgie Wester Tate Lee was my Nanaw- my Daddy’s Mother. She and my Papaw owned The Hollywood Restaurant many many years ago here in Madisonville, TN. Nanaw was a free spirit and an influence in my life that will never fade. We spent HOURS together pretty much daily- through the years - picking strawberries 🍓 or blackberries, making jelly and bread🍞 , cakes, biscuits, pies 🥧 , dumplings.....you name it, we baked it. I LOVED spending time with her. Once the chores were done and the kitchen was cleaned, once the laundry was off the line, and Papaw had supper we would retreat to the living room where she would play Solitaire. She taught me that game as well, and oddly enough I never minded just sitting with her - helping her find a play or just watching tv. It was contentment. She was an AMAZING grandmother. I miss her every day - and not in a heartbreaking way because death is part of life but in a way that makes me feel like the world is missing out on a blessing because she couldn’t live forever. I miss her because I want my children to know her - but they pretty much do through my Daddy - she was a pistol!!! Isn’t it crazy the influence people have over us?!! I often think what kind of legacy am I leaving behind when my time on this earth is gone?!! How about you?

So fast forward to today. Many of you know I have 4 girls. 4 of the GREATEST girls a mom could ask for.👭👭💞 they all have special God-given gifts. It is so exciting to watch them live out their dreams. My youngest, Annie, she LOVES to bake - she can make cakes and fondant for the cakes (that’s not my style but she’s pretty much a pro!). She is always willing to try new recipes....she watches YouTube baking shows and is a very creative child. She and I have a dream - to open a bake shop that serves delicious, organic hot coffee and fills people with the love of Jesus through music, food, and good company (that’s pretty much my part of the dream - she continues to ask “when are we opening our bake shop Mom?” She is always looking in town for a vacant building to set up shop)💕 Life is too short not to only dream your dreams - as my 17 year old so wisely told me one afternoon ... she said “Dream your dreams Mom!” So I decided not only to dream my dreams but to LIVE my dreams.....So is born, Sweet GeorgieAnn’s.....a mash up of names with ONE focus .....to spread the sweetness of the Lord with every single person He brings before us. I know this process will be slow - she’s 9 lol and it may be years before we ever step foot in a store front. So for now we bake in our own kitchen and pray God blesses our journey! Stay tuned for opening day!
