Our story

Here’s the 411 Madison Bagel Café is a family owned and operated business located in Madison, NJ. Our unique bagel recipe, which goes back more than 50 years, produces the awesome fresh-baked bagels our customers love. To achieve the authentic Madison Bagel taste, we boil our bagels before baking, which is the key to a NY-style bagel. “There is no ‘secret ingredient’; we follow a time-honored baking tradition and do it right.” The Madison Bagel Difference Our bagels are bigger and better than any local shop you’ve been to! As an independent restaurant with local ownership, we use quality ingredients that are not corporately sourced like a chain store. When we can source local ingredients, we prefer to use farm-fresh eggs, premium meats, cheeses, and fresh produce. You instantly taste the difference in quality when you eat at Madison Bagel Cafe. “We are part of the community and enjoy supporting and feeding our community.”
