I had someone stop by this weekend who wasn’t happy with my pricing, and I just want to be transparent. I’m not pricing things to make a big profit, most of my items only leave me a couple dollars after costs. A single loaf takes me 5–7 hours of work plus baking time. I put a lot of care into using quality ingredients without all the extra chemicals, preservatives or dyes because it matters to me what I’m feeding my family and yours.
I am also just one person behind all of this. From Tuesday to Friday, I’m prepping, mixing, and baking everything myself. Fridays are especially long as I spend 10 -14 hours baking to make sure everything is as fresh as possible for you.
I completely understand if my pricing isn’t in everyone’s budget, and I truly apologize if it isn’t in yours.
I’ve also had people get upset with me when I’m sold out of certain items. Again, I am only one person and can only make so much. Every weekend is a balance, I risk making too much and losing money, or not enough and selling out quickly. I do my best to gauge what to make and often ask what everyone would like to see. Your feedback on those posts truly helps me make enough for everyone without overdoing it or running out too fast.
