Well cookie friends, I will not be able to make all the fun holiday cookies this year that I have so enjoyed creating for you the past few years for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I have received a lot of crappy news over the past two weeks with new scans and tests. I don’t even have a complete diagnosis yet, but I start radiation treatments tomorrow.

I am up in Nashville receiving excellent care and one of the sweet care assistants brought me in a chocolate glazed donut from Dunkin’ Donuts when she came to work yesterday. 🩵

Please remember always that your small kindnesses to others can have impact far greater than you can imagine. That chocolate glazed donut made my day. 🙂

Just a little update: I am still in a back brace … and unable to accept orders and the pop up scheduled for next Friday ...

Just a little update:

I am still in a back brace … and unable to accept orders and the pop up scheduled for next Friday is also cancelled. 😞

On a happier note, I was surprised with these gorgeous flowers when I went into my office today for my accounting job. 💐

Blue is my overall favorite color, but I 🩵 yellow flowers. They are so cheerful. 🙂

I loved the accompanying note.

Happy Friday and Happy Dolly Parton day! 🩷

I was so looking forward to making pink smiley face cookies with lots of glittery sprinkles for my pop up today.

Since I had to cancel the pop up due to the wedge compression fracture in my back, I edited an old picture of a smiley face cookie to create this pink one to post and I hope it makes you smile.

And remember if you see someone without a smile today, be like Dolly and give ‘em yours! 🙂

Unfortunately I am needing to cancel the pop up that was scheduled for Friday, September 25th.

I had some X-rays done today at TOC for back pain and it turns out I have a wedge compression fracture. I’m being sent for MRIs tomorrow.

I’ll let you guys know when I can start baking and decorating again, once I find out the course of treatment.

✨✨NEW FALL FLAVOR: a brown sugar cookie with cinnamon apple buttercream ✨✨

We had a big family gathering this weekend which gave me lots of taste testers. The buttercream has a mild apple flavor from freeze dried apples. I also added cinnamon to the buttercream. Kind of reminds me of apple crisp. 😋

Cookie sandwich name TBD 🙂

I’ll be making these for the pop up at Madison Hospital on Friday, September 25th. 🍎
