Slowly but surely, all the pieces are coming together! 🥹
I’ve been placing orders and checking things off the list to keep the inside of the bakery moving forward. Recently purchased:
• Mop sink & faucet
• Main sink faucets
• Handwashing sink
• Hand soap dispenser
• Paper towel dispenser
• Bathroom sink
• Ceiling insulation
• OSB for the ceiling
• Ceiling tiles & nails
• Flooring samples
I also walked through the space with the electrician last week and finalized the placement for all of the light fixtures. Now I just need to get those ordered!
Still on the list: picking up sheetrock, meeting with someone about heating/cooling and the propane setup, fabricating my display and checkout counter, making a final flooring decision… and just a few other things. 😅
This has been a massive undertaking, and some days the list feels never-ending. But every time I check something off, I can see the vision getting a little closer to reality.
I cannot WAIT to see the final result. My biggest hope is that when it’s finished, the building will be almost unrecognizable...in the very best way possible.
I want it to feel brand new, but like it has always been there. A little nostalgic, a little beautiful, and completely Becker Bakeshop. 🤍
We’re getting there. One order, one project, and one very long to-do list at a time. 🥐✨
