Hello everyone,

After more than a year of baking and selling at farmers markets, we are now indefinitely closing Bear and Deer Bakery. We hope we’ve brought a bit of joy into your lives, just like you certainly have into ours. Thank you for all these incredible experiences. We have not lightly made this decision, but it is for the best at this point in our lives. Napier Heights Food Co-op has been wonderful to work with, and we’ll still come to the market as customers. We’d recommend anyone with a small business or vendor idea to contact them so you can set up a stand to sell with wonderful vendors and to fantastic customers. Also, if you’re interested in following Maha’s baking, you can follow her at on Instagram. We hope to see you at Napier Heights Food Co-op today from 3:30-6:00! We’ll have white chocolate cranberry scones, as well as orange cardamom scones and maple cinnamon scones. gingerbread and sandwich cookies like last time, and two kinds of pretzels snails too!

We’ll have cinnamon maple scones, orange cardamom scones, chocolate chip muffins, boxes of assorted cookies, gingerbread Krampus sandwich cookies (it’s the cutest Krampus ever, I promise!), and two kinds of snail pretzels!

Whoa! I think fall and winter showed up together! Last week's weather brought in chillier temperatures. That brings situations we may not be prepared for. Here in the South, we're used to warmer temperatures for longer, which allows for a sort of neglect or forgetfulness about being winter ready. Li

Vendor Spotlight! Rosa Ray's Market Fresh Goods has some of the best jams and jellies you'll ever lay taste buds on! You can find her at our market and many others around Middle Georgia! Here's a little bit about the person behind the brand!

I'm Keisha Sherman of Rosa Ray's Market Fresh! I am a state licensed producer of jams, jellies & breads. In 2020, I ended a 17 year career as a flight attendant. During this transition to being home more, I rediscovered my love of gardening, cooking and baking, originally instilled in me by my Grandmothers. I use fresh, local and even "backyard grown" ingredients in my products, whenever possible. I am a big advocate for fresh, seasonal, & minimally processed foods, particularly for communities where food apartheid exist. In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy spending time in the garden with our grandchildren, Rosa, Ray and Xuri.
