Two moves in the month of August! While we'd love to buy on the island soon, I think I need a break from moving boxes 🤪 The clouds were glowing purple this morning on my way down while I raced the rain storm that rolled in. It looks like we have some rain this morning, clearing this afternoon, and then an absolutely glorious Labor Day Weekend forecast! Hope to see you in the store this weekend! 🍪

Hello, September! I had so many highlights for August, it was a blur of cookie dough runs (yes we make our own dough), tons of baking, horseback rides, and moving. Hopefully September brings a little more balance to our lives 🤪 I was off island yesterday wrapping up the final packing at the house and we noticed the leaves were already changing a bit! I know I've mentioned it, but fall on Mackinac is my favorite season. There is nothing like it. Fingers crossed for more otter sightings and horseback rides - happy September everyone! (Btw Steven Seagal you have a seagull named after you)

No voiceover this morning, just another foggy ride into town to bake cookies. The fog started to settle on the island last night while we were out trail riding the horses. Horse or bike, it makes for a gorgeous ride around Mackinac. What are your favorite things to do on the island in the fog and rain?

It's raining! And I have exactly 0% of my rain gear. I left my jacket on the mainland when I went to pack up our house, and my rain pants I fear are a casualty of our latest move on the island. We have rain on the forecast for quite a few days this week so I'll be needing a new pair FAST 😂🤪 nothing like island living! The rain is so dreamy, though, right? (Help me )

Good morning from Mackinac! We're expecting some rain today but rain on Mackinac (especially in the fall) just makes the island feel so romantic. I'm headed to the mainland to help Patrick pack up the house since it closes in less than 2 weeks 😱 Main Street was so quiet this morning I only saw one other person, and I didn't trim that video just in case you wanted to feel like you were riding the road yourself 😉 what are you most looking forward to seeing on Mackinac in the coming months? (Besides snow 😂)

13 hours of my day condensed down to less than 3 minutes! My days consist of a lot of repetition - baking batch after batch of cookies, running back and forth from the kitchen to the store with empty and full trays, and up and down Grand Hill to run home and let Coco out. It's been awhile since it was just Audrey and I in the store together, but it's always the best time (and the best tunes)! Dinner at Patrick Doud’s Irish Pub for the perfect burger with the gorgeous Paintings in Progress is always the best way to end the day. The early mornings and long days are starting to wear me down a little, but the cooler air means fall is on the horizon and I'm so excited for my favorite season on Mackinac! 🦇🍁🎃

Happy anniversary to us! 7 years down, hopefully 70 to go. How special is it that I get to bike by the place we got married every single day? There's no one I'd rather do life with. Love you, Patrick!

Just in case you needed a moment of zen today, here is my bike ride to work in one minute. Lots of schools are back in session and the weather has noticeably cooled off, you can definitely tell the seasons are changing. This is my favorite time on Mackinac and I'm going to soak up every second! Enjoy the ride 😉🚲
