Hey y’all! I’m Elise—the face behind Heart to Home Confections, a little home bakery in Baker County, FL. 🥰
Baking has been part of me for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I was always mixing things together in bowls, pretending I was creating my own recipes and serving something delicious to my dolls. 😂 But as much as I loved it, baking remained just that, a hobby.
Then three years ago, I was in the thick of postpartum life with my third baby and settling into being a stay at home mama. I loved being home with my babies, but I also felt this pull to create something of my own. Something that gave me a creative outlet in the middle of motherhood.
And that’s when God put the idea of a home bakery on my heart. 🤎
I decided to finally take my love of baking seriously and get to work. I’ve never been to pastry school or taken professional cooking classes so I’m completely self-taught. There’s been a whole lot of trial and error, learning as I go, and probably more flour on my kitchen counters than I’d like to admit. 😅 But somewhere along the way, I completely fell in love with the art of baking.
These days, you’ll usually find me making cakes, cupcakes, sourdough cinnamon rolls, artisan sourdough and whatever else I decide to learn next. Squeezed in between homeschool lessons, little giggles and cups of coffee that I’ve reheated approximately three times. ☕️😂
Heart to Home has grown right alongside our family, and I’m so excited for this next season of it!
