After 13 months and a lot of weekly bottle-shaking, my home-brewed vanilla extract is finally ready! When I started this project a year ago I didn't know that in 2026 I'd be back in school full-time and working full-time while Bluejay Bakes rests for a bit, so it may take a while to work through the amount of extract I made 😅 but it's only gonna get better with age! Can't wait to infuse my home bakes and fuel all my chem and bio study sessions 🧪

2026 is already well underway! With going back to school (again 🤪) full-time and maintaining my employment full-time as well, BB will be quieter this year. As much as I want to be out at markets with y'all, this year orders and markets have to pause so I can prioritize school and work- and build a future that will enable me to bake more again down the road. I'm excited to still share my home bakes and the occasional order with you here, and can't wait for the day when I have time to do more than school and work again 😅 you all are the best and I look forward to sharing my home bakes with you this year! Stay warm and I'll see you soon, beloved bluejays! 💙

yesterday was sourdough day and I was in heaven 😊 my parents got me a bar of Get Doap for my birthday last month and it was phenomenal at cleaning the sticky dough off my hands!

Can't wait to bake more orders in the coming days; 'tis the season 🎄

sourdough tortillas and earthen pumpernickel made the house smell heavenly today 😊 the tortillas aren't on my standard menu but you can still order them anytime; just pop me a message!
