What started as a shared love for creating holiday cookies has grown into something so much bigger, and I’m incredibly thankful to share this journey with her. These mallard duck cookies were created to celebrate a long awaited little boy! A baby who is already so deeply loved before he has even arrived. While designing this set, I kept thinking about how fitting the symbolism of mallard ducks truly is for this journey.
In many cultures, mallard ducks represent hope, new beginnings, prosperity, adaptability, grace, and the ability to keep moving forward even through difficult seasons. They are resilient creatures calm through rough waters, steady through changing seasons, and protective of what they love the most. Honestly, I can’t think of a more beautiful symbol for a mother who has walked through the heartbreak, waiting, uncertainty, and emotional weight that infertility and IVF can bring.
This baby shower set became more than just cookies to us. It became a celebration of perseverance. Of answered prayers. Of choosing hope over and over again, even when the journey felt impossibly hard.
There is something incredibly emotional about creating pieces for moments people once wondered if they would ever get to experience. Tiny baby themes, soft colors, sweet little detailed things that may seem simple to others, but carry years of longing and love behind them. Knowing these cookies are part of welcoming a precious baby boy into the world makes this set feel extra special.

These Mickey cookies felt like coming home for our coo-kie girls. There’s something deeply special about returning to the characters that first made us smile and dream a little bigger when we were young. This set stretched our hands, our artistry, and our creativity in the very best way. Every line, every shape, every detail carried excitement and pride as they came to life one cookie at a time. Moments like these remind us why we fell in love with decorating in the first place.
