Wow!! Day 2 at our new store in Allen's Alley is in the books! I had grand plans of doing a video tour with the full case and coop and then sharing the beautiful new shirt I bought from the extremely talented seamstress’ at Collective Creations Luling (my awesome neighbors across the “alley” but as you can see that didn’t happen.
With all of your support and purchases yesterday I had lots to make to restock so it was a very late night (5 a.m. so I guess that is really an early morning) before I got to bed, only to be up by 7! What a blessing and great problem to have right?? And once again you all showed up early and sold us out of bread and most of our treats too! Thankfully Peggy Watts Parlin and Cherry Vickers took the lead at the store this afternoon freeing me to get to the kitchen earlier and bake for tomorrow! - Breads under construction include: Classic sourdough, Honey Wheat Sourdough, Sourdough White Sandwich loaves, a and our Steakhouse Brown Bread! These will be available tomorrow when we open at 10 until sold out!
It’s also our First Cinnamon Roll Saturday and we will have singles, pans of 2, and pans of 4 available first come, first served too!
This beautiful German Chocolate Cake was our cake of the day today requested by our amazing Blanca Tristan and surprisingly there are 7 slices left for tomorrow!! Working hard to restock hand pies and all the cookies too!
I’m off to take a quick cat nap between stretch and folds to try and re-energize before tonight’s marathon bakes.
Thank you all for continuing to support our little hometown bakery! This move was all the things- exciting, scary, lots of hard work and super satisfying all rolled into one but we are thrilled to see all of you again and bring you all your favorite sourdough goodies!
