Some cakes are more than just cakes.

I was recently asked to make a birthday cake for a husband who absolutely loves butter. 🧈 When I told her absolutely, her face lit up and she was so excited to surprise him with it.

Today was his birthday, and sadly, he passed away this morning after battling cancer. Even though he didn’t get to see this sweet cake, he is in a much sweeter place!

All week this cake carried a little more meaning than most, and now I know it will be one I never forget.

I’m simply grateful I was given the opportunity to make something that was created with so much love. 🤍🕊️
