But Macy and I (& Josh who’s our runner) got SO much Wedding prep done which will enable me to start prepping for the … wait for it,

GASLIGHT FESTIVAL! 🥳 I am SO excited to set up here. I have gone every year I’ve lived in Louisville (even jet lagged from a round the world mission trip)

So it’s really exciting (and intimidating) to be baking for all the people of jtown and nearby! 😊

The festival is September 18-20th 🤪

as much as I have a passion and excitement even in the hard for baking, I wouldn’t say there will NEVER be a sad day, it’s just that the sad days don’t compare to the fulfilling ones ☀️☀️

- there have been overwhelmingly sad days in this journey… days where I was too overwhelmed with working multiple jobs, labeling, fixing a fail in an order on a time crunch, doing the legality side of things, etc…

But little Kailey always knew in the back of her mind that baking was what she wanted to pursue. Now, the exciting challenges and fun days getting to serve Louisville out at events make all of this worth it ❤️

Heading into a BUSY bakery and personal life season (more to come on that!) - can’t wait to walk through every part of the creations! 💛💛

Immediately beat myself up because how did I not notice leaving something off like that??? I emailed the customer immediately and just felt so bad that I let something like this slip - WELP, someone emailed me shortly after who had THIS cookie cake wanting to order the SAME size for her husbands birthday party because it was “so soft”. She didn’t say anything about the mistake, just that she wanted to order one!! 👏👏

It’s so easy to let fear drive your small business - but have faith!!!! 💛

Sometimes I wonder if I should just become the cookie cake lady of Louisville because you all love them so much, but I love decorating cakes too much 🥹
