We are currently looking to fill several positions, including 2 bakers, a decorator (professional experience or impressive Instagram must be provided for consideration), a production manager, front of house manager (retail experience preferred as we also have a gift shop), and full and part time retail clerks. Our Vanilla Flukt is 3 Layers of Vanilla Bean Sponge Cake filled with House Mixed Berry Jam and Vanilla Bean Pastry Cream, Topped with Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream and a crown of Fresh Berries and Seasonal Flowers. We love this cake because each one is a little unique work of art thanks to the local fresh flowers. We will have these cuties plus Prinsesstårtas available for pick up tomorrow morning! With Midsommer on it's way, it's time to welcome the Ostkaka! From our family at Smør Nordic Bakeri, this month's special dessert is a light goat cheesecake with vanilla coriander shortbread, whipped cream, sour strawberry jam, topped with fresh, locally sourced strawberries. Available through June!
In celebration of Syttende Mai, Smør Nordic Bakeri is thrilled to welcome back the Kvaefjordkake this weekend! A delicious cream-filled yellow cake baked with baked with meringue and almonds. The Norwegians call it the World's Best Cake.
We just couldn't wait for summer, so join us this weekend in ringing in warmer days with The Russ Knot, a refreshing strawberry and lime cocktail featuring Brennivín. And we are celebrating Syttende Mai early with Smør Nordic Bakeri Bløtkake, a fruity Norwegian cream cake. Skål!
