I’ve been so busy creating that I haven’t had a chance to share everything we’ve been up to!

Our Chocolate Lab was full of creativity, laughter, surprises and a little FIRE! 🔥 Let’s just say things got a bit out of hand! 😂 That recap is coming soon, and TRUST ME, you don’t want to miss it!

🎂 BUTTERCREAM LAB RECAP!

Today’s Pink Batter Buttercream Lab was such a fun one! We made buttercream from scratch, talked consistency and troubleshooting, tasted the difference between flavors, practiced smoothing, explored color theory, and brought volunteers up to help solve buttercream and color challenges along the way.

What I loved most was seeing everyone participate; asking questions, making predictions, helping each other, and realizing that cake decorating is a whole lot less intimidating when you give yourself permission to learn as you go. 💕

That was really the message of the day:

Confidence grows through practice, not perfection.

Thank you to everyone who came out, jumped in, tasted, learned, laughed, and helped make the class such a great experience and congratulations to our cake giveaway winner! 🎉

Yesterday, Pink Batter Cake Studio brought Peace, Love & Cake to Louisville VegFest! ✌🏾💗🎂

I created the first cake especially for the audience to taste, because flavor is every bit as important as presentation. It featured fresh berries, citrus, delicate florals, dimensional buttercream piping, and touches of gold.

The second cake was a completely different experience! The audience chose the color story, design direction, finishing elements, and challenge while I brought all of their ideas together and decorated it live. Their choices became a groovy green, cream, and floral creation filled with buttercream fringe, movement, and disco-ball energy! 🪩

At the end of the demonstration, one lucky guest won the cake we created together!

This experience captured everything Pink Batter represents. We learned, created, connected, and celebrated with the magic of cake.

Thank you to Louisville VegFest, everyone who participated, and everyone who cheered me on!

At 4:15 p.m., meet me in the Pigment Gallery for a live vegan cake decorating remix. You’ll help choose the color story, design style, and finishing touch while I bring the cake to life right in front of you. We’ll have cake samples, too!

Better late than never seems to be a bit of a philosophy of mine currently. After being in the hospital twice within 2 weeks, I'd say I am running a bit late. The most important part, though, is that I am healing, and I am still here. In this episode of Allergy Dragon’s Lair, I am joined in the lair with Pink Batter Cakes Studio Creator Lakisha Morris. 🍜 THE BIG REVEAL IS HERE!!! 🎂

Did the clues give it away?! 👀

This week’s Cake Under Construction is officially complete, and Chef Lakisha was building a gravity-defying bowl of ramen… made entirely out of CAKE! 🤯🍜🎂

From the noodles and shrimp to the egg, toppings, and that fork suspended in midair, this one definitely put my cake-building skills to the test! 😂 But watching it come together and seeing everyone stop by, study the clues, and make their guesses made it SO much fun.

👏🏾 BIG SHOUTOUT to everyone who guessed RAMEN correctly! Y’all were paying attention! Some of you caught those clues QUICK. 😂

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, played along, asked questions, grabbed a treat, and helped make the first week of my Chef-in-Residence experience such a fun one. 💗
