UPDATE to our Kids/Teens Beginner Baking Class!

Classes will be held on Fridays and will be limited to 6 students per class. Ages can range from 6-16 and will be taught with a one-room schoolhouse approach adjusting content as needed for the various ages. The overall theme is glutens development, role, and function in our baked goods. We encourage you to sign your student up for all classes in this series to see this hands on concept come to life!

We’re calling this sourdough garden focaccia! Garden tomatoes, basil, pepperoncinis, and sautéed onions. Yum! 🍅🧅🫑

If you are thinking about learning how to bake sourdough bread our next class is August 29th at FirstBuild Makerspace. We will be learning how to make a traditional sourdough loaf but fyi that’s just step one. After the class you can also start trying lots of things with sourdough, like focaccia!

P.S. A new adult sourdough class has been listed for the end of August on our website if you are interested!

P.P.S. I may add in a 6 week session for older teens on the science of sourdough. Would your teen want/need that class for their fall schedule?
