To our Louisville Community,

On November 22, what started as a dream became a reality.
Years ago, I was just a young college student sitting in a dorm room with an idea, a notebook full of plans, and a belief that one day I could build something meaningful. I left home and moved to Louisville without connections, without a network, and without knowing exactly what the future would hold. What I did have was determination, faith, and a vision of creating a family business centered around fresh, handcrafted bagels and genuine hospitality.
There were countless late nights, early mornings, moments of uncertainty, and sacrifices made along the way. After years of planning and hard work, I found a small space on Poplar Level Road and opened the first Maya Bagel Express on November 22.
From the very beginning, Louisville welcomed us.
You gave a small local business a chance. You stood in line for our bagels, shared our story with friends and family, left encouraging words, and continued to show up day after day. What started as one store grew into something much bigger than we ever imagined, not because of us alone, but because of the incredible support of this community.
Today, when I look around, I don’t just see customers. I see neighbors, friends, families, and loyal supporters who have been part of this journey from the start. Every breakfast sandwich served, every dozen bagels baked, and every milestone reached has been possible because Louisville believed in us.
Being honored with Maya Bagel Express Day is something I never could have imagined back in that college dorm room. It represents more than a business achievement, it represents the power of hard work, perseverance, family, and a community that supports local dreams.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Louisville.
Thank you for embracing a young entrepreneur who arrived in a new city with a dream. Thank you for helping turn that dream into a thriving family business. Thank you for allowing Maya Bagel Express to become a small part of your daily lives and your community.
