So this is the quintessential birthday cake in my opinion - classic yellow with chocolate icing. I remember this as a kid always served with a side of ice cream (which it typically needed to offset the dryness😅). This one is super light and moist with a thick layer of chocolate cream cheese icing. And you can still add that side of ice cream cuz why not?! Our strawberries & cream layer cake starts with 1 whopping pound of fresh strawberries, reduced for maximum flavor in the cake & icing. It was actually one of the harder cakes to "master", but if I do say so myself I think we've got it right:) We will have this plus lots more this Labor Day weekend at Norton Commons Farmers Market from noon - 3.

Ya just can't beat the classics! Red velvet was the 1st cake I ever made from scratch in an attempt to recreate my grandmother's recipe. That one and Italian Cream made alternating appearances at each family get together we had. This red velvet is super moist with a hint of cocoa and tang and smothered in cream cheese icing while our Italian cream shines with a touch of almond (aka "that wedding cake flavor"), toasted coconut and pecans. Classic carrot is hands-down our most popular flavor year round and lots of you have been asking for an encore of this light and fluffy very vanilla cake....hope to see you Sunday at Norton Commons Farmers Market!

Went a little caramel crazy this week! This salted caramel layer cake is moist yellow cake with rich salted caramel icing and won 1st place last year at the Kentucky State Fair! This limited edition Snickers cake speaks my language with its moist chocolate layers, salted caramel and peanut filling and nougat icing! Plus these caramel crumble bars are to die for with a scoop of vanilla icing! Not to leave out our sweet and salted caramel mix or old-fashioned bread pudding with salted caramel sauce.
