Happy Mardi Gras!

We have received many inquiries about 2025 King Cakes and wanted to let you know that we moved to Charlotte last summer and are no longer baking. We really appreciate your business over the last few years and we sure do miss seeing your smiling faces at the King Cake handoff.

As an alternative to Small Batch, we highly recommend Manny Randazzo King Cakes in Metairie, Louisiana (our absolute favorite). According to their website, they are sold out for shipping this year, so you should travel to New Orleans, arrive at 6:00 a.m., and stand in line around the block in the rain to get one (or 12) of their amazing cakes. That is the true New Orleans King Cake experience.

As a second alternative, we recommend a Gambino’s King Cake. They also ship and in the last couple of years, their King Cakes have been available at Kroger.

Now that we’re free again on Mardi Gras weekend, we’re headed back to New Orleans to join the party! If you’re in town, look for us at the corner of St. Charles and Napoleon.

Thank you so much for an amazing 2024 King Cake Season, Louisville! You are really getting the hang of Mardi Gras. It’s a Season, Not a Day!

We sold quite a few King Cake Season Passes this year and had orders for cakes EVERY DAY starting January 6. Getting up at 4:00 AM to make that delicious dough wasn’t always fun, but it was absolutely worth it when we saw the excitement on your faces when we handed you our masterpiece!
