💥In honor of Hip Hop’s 50th Anniversary I’ll be dropping a number of clips starting with this ’03 excerpt from “An Evening with the Groovaloos” featuring Steven T. Stanton (“Boogieman”), one of the funkiest men on the planet😎
These performances were inspired from an earlier set of interviews I did with the GROOVALOOS. I was exploring ideas and at the time we were doing a new thing in how we wove elements together for storytelling. It was an incredible season of exploring while sharing aspects of the culture.
It’s hard to overstate the impact the dance had on us in countless ways and how deeply we were connected through the freestyle nature of the art form and the GROOVE behind it 🔥⭕️🙌🏽

We are so thankful for this beginning. We are eternally gratfeul to you Joe Tremaine for giving us this honor of closing National Dance Day Celebration almost 20 years ago in downtown L.A. The Groovaloos are still performing to this day with our last performance being for the Special Olympics! We are blessed to have had the opportunity to have the BEST dancers of all time (in our opinion!) in the Groovaloos. Enjoy our first performance!
