Week 8 and this pumpkin patch is really starting bloom! So far all the flowers have been male so I’ve clipped all but one to promote growth. I’m keeping the healthiest male flower available for pollination! I have a feeling we will be seeing indoor pumpkins here very soon!!

Sous vide Turkey with home grown Sage and Rosemary. Also brewing some Turkey stock to be made into gravy: Turkey , shallot, rosemary, garlic, Sage, hints of apple, vanilla bean and orange peal. Going to let this cook for 24 hrs @ 131 degrees and it will be amazing!

Week 4, the pumpkin vine has started growing tendrils which are slender threadlike appendages that attach and coil around objects to anchor and support the plant. Better keep the door closed so the tendrils don’t suffocate us at night!! Happy spooktober!!!

Chaos Patch Update 2: two weeks ago we decided to grow pumpkins indoors to see how wild things would get. We have observed that photosynthesis is in full effect. Adult leaves have exploded from the seedlings absorbing red and blue light producing a vast amount of chlorophyll. These pumpkins are radiating green pigment. Stay tuned for week three!

Court and I have decided to grow pumpkins indoors to see how wild things get. I grew these Cinderella pumpkins from seed from a harvest we had approx 6-7 years ago and they were huge back then. Very excited for this planned chaos!!!
