Thank you Lord for juneteenth and sports and dads! Who’s seeing Chance The Rapper ⭐️ at the Hollywood Bowl tonight 🙋‍♀️?? Right when our fractured world looked dire and on the brink of collapse, we are united through pure astonishment. Congrats New York Knicks 🏀 and of course Selección Nacional de México 🇲🇽on last night’s win, and to us Angelenos, who continue to show the world that people of different backgrounds can not only coexist, but also be one another’s biggest fans🇰🇷🇲🇽🎄Godspeed U.S. Men's National Team 🇺🇸 today 🏆⛹️‍♀️🏀⚽️

In the spirit of the greats and Father’s Day we are running a steak frites & eggs. That’s right, not just steak n eggs, but steak FRITES n eggs. Composed by a greedy third culture child who wants more more more. Fun fact: “Steak n Eggs popularity skyrocketed in 1961 when NASA astronaut Alan Shepard famously ate steak and eggs for breakfast before the historic Mercury-Redstone 3 mission. It subsequently became the traditional pre-launch meal for generations of American astronauts.”

Double R Ranch grass-fed seared strip loin, Juan Ordonez 12 hour beef marrow red wine sauce, Chino Valley Ranchers eggs, fries, and we had to throw in last of the season Finley Farms fresh celery root - a delightful lemony palate cleanser for this luxuriously marbled cut 🥩✨

Also, PEACH CREAM PIE, a month early OH MY! Thanks to Andy's Orchard and nature, peaches are peaking early - we’ll take it 🙌

stuffed chicken au poivre: chicken thigh on giblet cornbread stuffing, sautéed chard, smoked pearl onions, cognac peppercorn sauce, fondant potato

The last time I made this giblet cornbread stuffing was during lockdown and it was a hit. Our government was bailing out airlines and hotels and most of our staff either stayed in LA or moved permanently home if they were from out of town. Maybe it was homesickness, or an ache to hug and affirm affections, an instinctive response to the winter chill, or the fourteen ingredients all tenderly tossed with love. 

Thank you for popping by yesterday and architecting this video in all of twenty minutes - you are a magician.

Thank you (whose whistle you hear at the end) for executing every vision with so much ease and elegance. Three years flew by. We will miss you deeply.
