Barb Batiste founded Chef Barb’s B Sweet© in 2010 as a way to bring back the homemade taste in food and desserts we all love. This young company, created by Chef Barb, has an unmatched level of quality in its products and it clearly shows – not only through its presentation but also in its taste. ors then pastries that are produced in larger corporate kitchens. We use the highest quality ingredients, such as fresh fruits purchased from the local farmer’s markets and do not use any added preservatives. Our dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is incomparable to larger companies. If your palette is craving mouthwatering and heartwarming baked goods, B Sweet offers the best selection available. In 1993, Chef Barb worked alongside the Executive Pastry Chef at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel creating fine pastries; and though it was a great experience, her heart was still set on making homemade goodies the old-fashioned way. She quickly created a buzz around personal friends and family, and even started supplying her famous Chocolate Chip Banana Bread to a local café. After working as the head pastry chef for an LA Art Gallery and polishing her skills, she decided to start her own catering company. From her kitchen at home, to now her third commercial kitchen, Chef Barb continues to grow while remains true to her "handmade like grandma used to make" ways. Barb still works off many of her handwritten recipes and, together with her committed team, strives to create new recipes daily but with an old-fashioned flair. These values have brought her many loyal clients such as Disney, Nike, ING Direct and some of Hollywood's best-known stars and studios. In early 2014, Chef Barb’s B Sweet launched four flavors of its famous bread pudding into select Target stores nationwide and will be opening the doors of their first Dessert Bar in the early summer of 2014. In addition to these amazing accomplishments, Chef Barb’s B Sweet has received the title as LA’s best dessert trucks with their mini-trucks, Lil’ Angel and Lil’ Devil, that frequently roam the streets of LA. What's next for this dedicated wife and mother who thinks of herself as a modern day "Betty Crocker?" Only time will tell… stay tuned!
