You may have noticed we haven’t been popping up at our usual spots lately, and our pickup hours and menu have become a little more limited.

That’s intentional. And it’s time we shared why.

Running a small business in Los Angeles is not for the weak. Over the past few years we’ve watched so many of our fellow small business owners pour their hearts, savings, and entire lives into their brick-and-mortar dreams, only to face an increasingly difficult reality.

Our dream was always to open a little cheesecake shop of our own. A place where you could stop in, grab a slice, and stay awhile.

But as much as we loved that dream, we had to take a hard look at what it would take to make it happen. And what it would take to survive.

So I made a decision. We could keep doing things the way we’d always done them and risk eventually writing one of those heartbreaking “it’s been fun while it lasted” posts.

Or we could reinvent ourselves.

I chose the latter.

We’re officially saying goodbye to nationwide shipping and pop ups and shifting our focus to something I'm incredibly excited about:

Introducing the East Side Cheesecakes Trolley! 🍰✨

A beautiful, mobile cheesecake experience that brings everything you love about East Side Cheesecakes directly to your celebrations.

Because when we really thought about it, the best part of this business has never just been the cheesecake.

It’s been you.

It’s been the weddings, birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, office parties, and all the little moments you’ve invited us to be part of.

And now, instead of waiting for you to come to us, we get to come to you!

We’ll be bringing our cheesecakes, made with the same quality ingredients and care we’ve always believed in, along with beautiful presentation, delicious toppings, and a little bit of theater.

And in an economy where so many small businesses are being forced to say goodbye, we’re grateful to have found a way to say hello to something new.

Thank you for helping us get here. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

We’re simplifying things!

Starting now, East Side Cheesecakes will be closed Sunday through Wednesday.

🩷 Pre-order pick ups are available in East LA ( ) & in Pasadena ( ) Thursday - Saturday. And for our West Side fam: every other Friday ( )

As we continue to grow our catering department, we’ll also be popping up at special locations and events throughout the month, so keep an eye on our stories and posts for announcements!
