Elisa Marie Baking, headed by Elisabeth Lindsey, is synonymous with quality hand-made cakes, pies, breads, and pastries. Lindsey, currently the Head Scratch Baker of Jupiter Outpost Café in Chicago’s trendy West Loop, is entirely self-taught, and relies exclusively on her keen instinct, years of professional experience, and just about everything her Momma taught her when she was a little girl to offer up home-style treats from the heart each and every day. So come on down and sample her creations at Jupiter Outpost, through which she also provides private catering services!

Hey y’all - Just wanted to take a moment to celebrate the life of the one and only Dolly Parton.

Dolly was a true role model of mine. Not just as a musician and entrepreneur, but as one of the most beautiful and soulful human beings that ever walked the earth in my opinion. Her journey was far from an easy one, and she had so many opportunities to give in to all the negativity that surrounded her. Instead, she always chose humor, compassion, and most of all, love. By doing that, and also by working her butt off from 9 to 5, she built an empire on her limitless talent and grace. And as another down-home country girl trying to make something happen, that’s why she will never stop being an inspiration to me.

On behalf of myself, Mr. Marie and Sofia, who wore a Dolly t-shirt to her first day of work with me, EMB sends our deepest sympathies to the Parton and Owen’s families, and to the musical world in general. We lost nothing less than a modern-day legend today, but I know that the great work she left behind will keep her close to us forever. Goodbye, Dolly.

ELISA MARIE IS OFFICIALLY A 30-TIME RIBBON WINNER AT THE ORANGE COUNTY AND CA STATE FAIRS!

Hey y’all! Long time no talk…again. 😅

I finally found a few quiet moments to sit down, take a breath and share the good news with you. As you know, the OC Fair has come and gone, and your girl Elisa Marie brought a handful of goodies out for the occasion. I’m happy to report that I came home with two more ribbons - both in the Preserved Foods & Liqueur category.

3rd Place - Peaches in Heavy Syrup with Saffron
Honorable Mention - Navel Orange Marmalade

Now you might be thinking, “Elisa, what the heck? Two ribbons isn’t a dozen ribbons. Are you feeling okay?” Well, despite absolutely loving the chance to whip up all the recipes I dream of all year long, I’ve just been too busy to throw myself into the festivities with my usual gusto. But I’m very proud to bring these two ribbons home because one of them is my THIRTIETH RIBBON since I started submitting to the Fairs way back in 2020.

Thank y’all for your support over that time by the way. For celebrating every win, and enjoying every EMB at my partner stores. Hey y’all! What a fun weekend.

Thanks for coming with Dark Elisa and me for a few days. I got to rock my little country heart out at Emo Nite with at . Then, I got to jump into a new thing and meet a bunch of often new people at the Pi(e) Fest. And last but not least, I got to take my brand new overalls and a piece of my Apron Fashion Show prize for a little spin at Disneyland. Don’t worry, I held on to it extra tight when I rode Big Thunder.

It’s nice to be able to come out of the bakery for a little while. Things have been so busy lately, it’s hard to find the time to get out there and be a part of the scene. That’s why when I can do it, I like to make sure I bring all of y’all with me. HAPPY PI(E) DAY PLUS ONE Y’ALL!! Sorry I was quiet for the occasion, but I think I had a pretty darn good reason. You see, I got the chance to take part in my first-ever KCRW Pie Fest! It was such an inspiration to spend my Saturday surrounded by so many talented and dedicated baking pros from all over Southern California.

While I didn’t earn a ribbon this time around, I was incredibly proud of all my contributions, and I was able to spread some “Fresh Baked Love” at the Autry Museum while making a few new friends along the way. Plus, I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything, but I pretty much tore the house down in the apron fashion show and brought home an awesome swag bag from KCRW! All in all, a pretty good day by my standards. 😄

Enjoy a few snapshots from the full day of sun and fun! Including the only thing better than any ribbon I could receive - three completely empty pie dishes.

Hey y’all! A very happy Valentine’s Day to you.

Just wanted to share a few moments from another little party this weekend - my birthday! I celebrated turning 29 yet again with my forever valentine, Mr. Marie. He took me to a beautiful lunch at , where I also picked out a few essential plants to take home with me. Then, we spent the evening at Fashion Island for a little more shopping and a few rounds of martinis and truffle fries at . Girl dinner? Yes please! Finally, we came home for some late-night Star Trek TNG and some celebratory burps and t***s from my absolutely legitimate son and permanent doggy Valentine, Manny.

I hope that however you’re spending this Valentine’s weekend, you’re surrounded by the things and people you love. Hey y’all! I hate to toot my own horn, but I’m feeling pretty proud of what’s coming out of my kitchen lately. Valentine’s Day is a special time for EMB. For one thing, it’s when I get to buy most of my props and decorating for the year. But even more importantly, it’s all about LOVE! With a slogan like “Fresh Baked Love”, it’s hard not to be excited for it.
